Live Blogging from US Rowing Conferences

Over the next 2 weeks Douglas Lumsden, owner and founder of Space Saver Rowing Systems will be in the United States to help with the installation of a couple of Mechanical Quad Stackers in Ann Arbor. While Douglas is in the US, he will be attending and live blogging from two rowing conferences.

US Rowing Annual Convention

The first conference is the US Rowing Annual Convention which will include the Advanced Coaches Conference 2011. The annual convention is set to take place on December 1-4 in Hartford, Connecticut. The advanced coaches conference will take place on the last two days of the convention with a full day on Saturday Dec 3rd and a half day on Sunday Dec 4th. Douglas will be live blogging the three following sessions from this event:

  1.  Tom Terhaar – Training plans and ideas for collegiate programs
  2.  Tim McLaren – Coaching small boats the Australian way
  3.   Liz Trond – How little you really need to win races

Joy of Sculling Saratoga Conference

Next Douglas will be attending the Joy of Sculling Saratoga Conference on December 9th – 11th. Douglas has again chosen three sessions that he will be live blogging from:

  2. Yasmin Farooq – The leadership of the coxswain
  3. Al Morrow – Dealing with the stress of coaching
