That was a terrific article by your writer,, Jon K.   I am coach, and was a carpenter for 12 years before taking over as director of our rowing club.  We are fortunate enough to have a volunteer boatman working with us.   I am all too familiar with the plights you mentioned.  As a tradesman, I am also wired like a boatman, and I thought the article was spot-on.   Our boatman got a huge kick out of it, and I will be forwarding it on to the rest of our staff.
