Building a boat house with UTS Haberfield

\"UTSUTS Haberfield Club has finished building and kitting out a new boat house with us! And it looks magnificent…

About the new boathouse

Sporting an excellent bar and restaurant on the top level and a \”top level\” boathouse on the bottom level (hah!), the new UTS boat house has just what you need for a great day of rowing.

Working with SSRS

Our very own director, Douglas Lumsden, guided the architect design team with planning how to fit out the boat house for maximum boat storage space and ease of use by athletes and rowing coaches.

Over a series of weeks they fitted  10 bays of boat racks (for all rowing boats from an 8+ to a single scull) and a series of oar hanging racks (11 sculling oar racks, 1 sweep oar rack). In the process he also helped UTS re-purpose their support beams from the old boat house for use in the new one.
